Israeli novelist Ayelet Gundar Goshen in Prague

Ayelet Gundar-Goshen was born in 1982. She studied psychology at the Tel Aviv University and playwrighting at the Sam Spiegel Film and TV School in Jerusalem. She recieved awards for her short films. Gundar-Goshen is one of the most promising authors in Israeli literature today: she was awarded Israel’s most prestigious literary award, Sapir Prize, for her debut novel One Night, Markovich. Her novel Waking Lions was named by the New York Times as one of the best 100 books for 2017. A TV adaptation of the novel is now in the making in the US. The book was translated into Czech by Alžběta Glancová and Magdalena Křížová, and the author came to Prague to present it.
Ajelet Gundar-Gošenová (*1982) vystudovala psychologii na univerzitě v Tel Avivu a scenáristiku na Sam Spiegel Film and TV School v Jeruzalémě. Získala několik ocenění za své scénáře a krátké filmy. Ajelet Gundar-Gošenová patří mezi největší přísliby současné izraelské literatury, o čemž svědčí už její první oceněný román z roku 2012 Jednu noc, Markoviči. Román Probudit lvy obdržel WIZO Price a New York Times ho zařadil mezi 100 nejvýznamnějších knih roku 2017. Ve Spojených státech se připravuje jeho seriálová adaptace. Do češtiny titul přeložily Alžběta Glancová a Magdalena Křížová.
