writer, novelist, translator and musician, formerly a journalist and hi-tech worker. His books have been translated to several languages and won awards such as the Bernstein Prize for The Hilltop (2013), Prix Courrier International (France) for Croc Attack (2012), "Ein Buch für die Stadt" (Cologne, Germany) for the same novel (2012), and the Israeli Prime Minister Award for authors (2011).
A. B. Yehoshua, 11 and 12. V. 2018
Novelist, essayist, and playwright, published as A. B. Yehoshua. The New York Times called him the "Israeli Faulkner."
Dror Mishani, 11 and 13. V. 2018
Best selling author of untraditional detective novels, translator and literary scholar, specializing in the history of detective fiction. His series of crime fiction, featuring police inspector Avraham Avraham, was first published in Hebrew in 2011 and is translated to over 15 languages, including English, Swedish and German. His books were adapted to film in France, and for television in Israel.
David Grossman, 11. V. 2018
One of Israel's greatest writers, he was awarded the Man Booker International Prize in 2017, in conjunction with his frequent collaborator and translator, Jessica Cohen, for his novel A Horse Walks Into a Bar. In 2018, he was awarded the Israel Prize for literature.
